During my internship at Wexner Center for the Arts, I got the opportunity to use my branding and technical skills. I used existing graphic assets to create new compositions for deliverables such as flyers, posters, programs, way-finding signage, and more.
Promotional Flyer
The first deliverable of this project was the trunk-or-treat flyer, which helped me visualize the amount of information that would fit in a small space. These flyers were printed out as a 4-up, where four copies can fit on one sheet of US Letter sized paper. A Spanish translation of the flyer takes up the empty space on the back.
Promotional Flyer #2
The next deliverable was the flyer, which led me to understand the visual and graphic elements and how they interact with the copy and images.Program of Events
I was also tasked to make a program schedule, which was a tough task due to the lengthy copy, but came together beautifully in the end.I also made monitor version of the program schedule, which would be viewed at the location during the event.
Wayfinding + Signage
This included outdoor signage with directional symbols, as well as A-frames that navigate to restrooms within the facility. This project was very rewarding to work on because I learned a lot about intentionality of the placement of graphic elements. The flowers and their scattered nature required it to be cohesive with the rest of the compositions, which I think came out successfully. Overall, it was a fun project where I got to use lots of color and gradients and incorporate them efficiently so that they communicate effectively.
